Time to Catch up! (In 10 easy steps)

 1.  Dave turned 40!  Yep.  It's true, it's really true!   We made two serious pavlovas (strawberry/ kiwi and a banana/caramel)  Sugar overload, so we have to invite the neighbours of Waverley!

2.  We finished a science project!!  (whoo whoo!)  He got great marks and represented his class at the Manitoba Science Symposium in April.

3.  Grandma and Grandpa came for a visit!  They were kind enough to celebrate Easter with our boys while we headed out to Vancouver Island.

4.  We headed to Esperanza, BC for our Easter campaign assignment with the Training College.  We could not have been more fortunate and we will treasure the memories and the people we met there!  It deserves a blog post of its own ... shortly!

5.  The boys of Waverley are always entertaining!   Nerf gun wars!  Spring is coming ...

 6.  Holiness Retreat at Hecla Resort.  What a wonderful time set apart with our training college friends and staff in April, just as our semester ended.  Again, I work on a blog post with many more photos from our weekend away.

7. From one happy face to another!  I was blessed to have an augmented field placement at Mississauga Temple Community Church for a week in early May, which afforded me great learning opportunities and chances to meet with key people in leadership.  Such a great variety of  ministries to be a part of.

I also got a day with my family!                                            Penelope & Kenna

 Mom's bountiful brunch!

 9.  Mother's Day lunch at Milestones with some amazing rellies!

Julie, Jean & Ron, Peter & Becky, Richard, Rachel, Kyle, Mike & Laura, Mom & Dad and the neices! And a big shout out to the others who came to the morning service!

 Sister smiles!
Flying home - what a way to spend Mother's Day with people I love from around the world literally!  (flew right over Thunder Bay)

9.  Home to the best boys ever  - treats from them, from Dave,  and from Auntie Kim (visiting from N.Z.)

10.  Quick catch up with Dave's sister Kim!

We have finished the in-class component of our intensive courses this term, so a couple of assignments are all that stands in our way from our Summer Assignment.  We've got some great seminars lined up this month and hopefully a chance to read some self-selected books!  LOL

I've announced it on facebook, but for those who *abstain*, we are headed to beautiful Abbotsford, BC for 8 weeks this summer.  We''ll be in St. Catharines / Niagara the last 2 weeks of August for a catch up and a rest before plunging back into our second semester at CFOT.  Now you are all caught up!
